Exciting finish today! I'm happy for Martin
winning the stage and taking the Yellow Jersey; and even for Cavendish who
helped keep him in position. Sagan narrowed his gap to the Green Jersey
with a podium finish, while helping Contador stay in front group.
Quintana showed his grit and lost no time on the cobbles. Van Garderen is
hanging in there still. Nibali won "Most Aggressive" but didn't
gain any time - at least he didn't lose any more. Froome is still man to
beat. Big loser today: Pinot losing 3+ minutes with mechanical problems,
now trails Froome by 6:30.
As a parting salute to Belgium, site of two stages of this year's Tour, here are a couple of Belgian icons.
